Actor Photo Shoot

Zachary Lewis is a recently graduated actor and rising star from Houston, Texas. As he set his sights on graduate school, Zachary realized that he needed more current headshots, to provide a visual resume and representation of him as a well-rounded actor.

Because these photos will make their first appearance at auditions for such schools as Yale and New York University (NYU), it was important that they not only speak to his personality, but also offer a neutral stage from which he – the actor – would stand out.

Because Zachary is a native Houstonian, there were countless location possibilities for the photo shoot. In the end, the Museum District was chosen because it provided a range of scenic background textures. Each surface style – coupled with his strategic choice of attire – highlighted a different aspect of Zachary's persona. The use of double lighting on a relatively overcast day rendered a soft, intimate finish for each shot, with surprising visual depth.

Zachary was also hired as a model for Carmelo's Houston and Austin Restaurants following his museum session. We have included a couple of images from these sessions which shows his versatility in front of the camera.
